Project brief

TFS were awarded the contract for the residential fire sprinkler install and fire stopping at Bouygues Project, University of Essex. 

The project known as ‘The Pastures’ is located on the Colchester campus and is the third phase of student accommodation that Bouygues will be delivering for the University of Essex,

We are contracted for:

• Supply and install fire batt and mastic as per manufacturers specification to the fire walls, to achieve a Fire rating up to 60 mins.

• BS9251 sprinkler system to protect all 1,254 studio and cluster bedrooms, kitchens & cluster corridors and block C student staff HUB, installing 3500 residential sprinkler heads

Our engineers started on site in August 2022, with the development scheduled for completion in time for the 2023/24 academic year.
