Working Foreperson – Fire Door Division

Job Overview

We are seeking a working supervisor to join our team within the Building & Fire Door Division. The ideal candidate will be a qualified carpenter with Carpentry experience and 2+ years as a either a site manager, project manager or working foreman. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and understanding of construction processes and regulations. This role requires a hands-on approach, as the division continues to grow, the working Foreperson will initially be required to carry out work on the tools and coordinate and supervise on-site activities and manage team deliverables on a daily and weekly basis, while ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Experience

  • Coordinate and oversee works on site from construction to completion where required.
  • Lead and manage staff on site to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations, score of works specification and all Fire Door works are completed in accordance with BM TRADA guidelines – Training will be provided.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on site, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns with your PM, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in construction site supervision and relevant city and guilds, or other accreditation body qualification. Relevant industry and trade certifications (e.g., CSCS card, SMSTS, First Aid) preferred.

A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory and project management role in the construction industry.

Valid UK drivers license and willingness to travel to  various project sites is required and possible stay away work when necessary.
