Site Manager

Who are you?

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to oversee a fire sprinkler installation into exisiting, lived-in, student accommodation in Leicester. This would initally be for a 3-month period, but with the potential to extend.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all subcontractors carry out work in a timely and safe manner at site level. Dealing with all matters arising on site. Ensuring all staff and operatives meet H&S  regulations. Ensuring Triangle meet all duties in line with the programme of works. Carrying out risk assessments, QA and H&S inspections and audits, management reporting, toolbox talks, etc. Supporting and directing RLO work as required and updating Triangle database, as required.

The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all activities on site are conducted efficiently and safely, while managing a team of staff to achieve operational goals. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to supervise effectively, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.  

Initially this is a fixed 3-month contract, full time, 40 hours Monday to Friday. 

Responsibilities 

  • Planning and Coordinations: Working under the direction of the Project Manager, you will develop and manage project schedules, and resource allocation. 
  • Site Management: Oversee daily site operations, including managing subcontractors, supervising the workforce, and ensuring quality control. 
  • Health and Safety: Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures. 
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns. 
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, safety inspections, and material deliveries. Site inductions relating to all works Triangle will be provided to the client. Conducting GoPro videos for pre and post initial works. 
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or problems that may arise on site. 
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate the site team, providing guidance and support.

Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations and quality standards. Any fire sprinkler associated work experience would be beneficial.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team, manage resources, and make decisions.
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients, subcontractors, and staff. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise on site.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and best practice. 
  • Relevant Qualifications: SMSTS and CSCS Card. 
  • Driving Licence
